My New Baby, Katie and her story

Don't blame me for their cuteness !!

They make me to find another member of the family so they can be a Teenage Mutant Ninja Tortoise

I was interested in Sulcata, another type of tortoise who can grow as big as 70cm but it is so expensive so I can't afford it

But, My boyfriend said that if I bought another tortoise, he will break up with me

I was like, what the hell...Should you do that over a tortoise?

Well, since I can't afford that tortoise, I aim for another Istar and my boyfriend said, up to me

So, I looked at forum, probably gonna find some that I like

Honestly, I prefer to buy it right away, I mean like seeing the tortoise directly so I can choose it based on their personality and I can check on them right away

But, well, so far, no one sell Istar in my radius of 100km so I have to buy them online

I have seen several thread about selling tortoise Indian Star and I like some of them

When I tried to decided which one I want to buy, I opened another thread from Yogyakarta and see this picture

Wow, what a nice color and pattern of shell, I love it

I checked the price and it's not that expensive

but it's from Yogyakarta, far away from my place, so the seller have to send it via expedition and I'm afraid that it will die, so I was thinking twice and then I saw another picture of it

I fell in love with this picture

It is SO CUTE !!!

cuteness level over 9000 !!!!

I want it soooo bad so I contacted the seller and ask that it is available or not and it is available !!!

Well, I negotiated with the seller about the price and I agreed to pay him $50 exclude the delivery fee which is $5

Well, everything looks nice, the seller look that he had delivered some tortoise out of town so he knows the packing and stuff until he text me and said. "The expedition can't send it to your house, it can be send to a train station only"

Well, there is a train station near my house so I said that he can send it to Serpong train station and then he replied that just 2 train station are available which are Jakarta Kota Train Station and Manggarai Train Station

I don't know where is Manggarai so I choose Jakarta Kota, but, it still far away from my house

It will be arrived at Saturday around 10am

Crap, I have an appointment at 10am and I can't go anywhere because I'm working and have to stay at home (yes my office is at home) and I can't pick her up

I was panicked and looking for someone who can pick it up and deliver it to my house

Then my ex said that he will take care of it, he will ask his friend's driver to pick it up and deliver it to my house

I was so happy, finally I can have her (seller said that it is a female)

Saturday morning, I was waiting for 2 tortoise

one is my friend's sulcata named Patrick who will be at my house for a week because the owner will be out of town and my baby Istar from Yogyakarta

Michael came around 9 AM with Patrcik, his sulcata (A.K.A Sulki) and we had a lot of talk about tortoise

Well, story of Patrick will be told later because it's Katie's story

Around 3 PM, the driver had arrived and give me the package

I excitedly open it and I met my lovely baby inside it

Well, she poo-ed and pee-ed so she smell gross, but I clean her as soon as I took her

After cleaned her, I gave her food and she eat, a lot

She was shy before but she is friendly

She eat the food from my hand and enjoy it

I guess that she is starving because she was on train and motorcycle for a day with no food

I took some picture of her after she ate

 Look at her pattern, soooo beautiful

I love her so much

And she has a small pyramid shape on her shell, not that high but we can see it (well, not from the picture I guess, but if you see her directly, you can tell that)

Since she is so beautiful, I prefer to stop that pyramid shape

And again, my friend, Joshua, named her Katie and it sounds nice so I agree with him
